Urban Sanctuary

A minimalist apartment that serves as a peaceful refuge from the city's hustle.

Located in the heart of Brooklyn, this loft was transformed from a cold industrial shell into a soft, textured sanctuary. We applied a fine layer of warm plaster to all brick walls to soften the daylight bouncing into the living space. The kitchen features a custom island made of solid unfilled travertine, which pairs beautifully with matte raw white oak cabinets. Heavy doors were replaced by ceiling-height sliding shoji-inspired screens made of textured linen, allowing the space to be opened up or compartmentalized depending on the time of day.
