Coastal Haven

A light-filled beach house that blends seamlessly with its ocean surroundings.

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Coastal Haven is a study in oceanfront tranquility. The primary goal was to bring the textures of the beach indoors. We used bleached white oak for the flooring and ceilings, which complements the local sandstone fireplace. Large glass sliding doors disappear into the walls, creating a seamless transition to the deck. Furniture was custom-commissioned in neutral sand and chalk shades, using loosely-woven Belgian linen slipcovers and raw jute carpets that handle salt and sand with ease.
